Iconic had been looking to invest in a website for some time but had been wary of paying a large up-front fee. When we approached them with the offer of designing, hosting and maintaining the site for a monthly fee they were delighted to take us up on the offer. The requirements of the site were to: serve as a stylish brochure for the salon, allow the staff to update pictures and news, and to integrate with the salon's existing social networking efforts.
Lucidnet produced a seven page site in clean html and css with static information relating to the salon's services. We also delivered a custom PHP content management system and Mysql database, plus staff training. This allows the salon's staff to update the site without requiring us to get involved. We also employed a basic local SEO strategy to increase the site's visibility, which has yielded tangible results in terms of an increase in trade to the salon. Weekly reports are provided to keep our clients up to date on the progress of their site.
Design
Included free with our package. We design the site to your requirements and it won't go live until you are happy. We endevour to get the design ready for your approval within two business days, with a target of going live after two weeks. (Standard set-up of five static pages, bespoke layout and graphics. Extra features, such as databases or ecommerce incur an additional fee, which is negotiable with Lucidnet at the outset of the project.)
Hosting
Reliable hosting, delivered through our associates at fasthosts. A .co.uk domain is included in the set-up fee and this will be registered to you for two years, even if you cancel your package with us, you will still be able to use your company web address. We will be on hand to deal with any technical problems that arise and will keep you up-to-date with regular reports on your site's visitors.
SEO
Search Engine Optimisation. Also included with our standard package. We will employ a marketing strategy to make your site more visible to potential customers. By researching the keywords that people use to search for particular products and services we can push the site onto the first page of results on the major search engines. We will agree which words to focus our efforts on at the outset of our agreements. We will report our progress to you each week. This is a proven method of driving more business to a website and provides real value for money on your investment. (We use data that is freely available via google.com to base our research upon. Some search phrases are more difficult to obtain good results with than others. We will discuss this with you before embarking upon any SEO campaign.
